This bottle gives of a joyous expression of Merlot. The aromas are a combination of ripe black cherry, red berries and licorice accented by smoky, spicy oak. The flavors are open, bright red fruit in the mouth, with soft tannins and a long, supple finish.
This full flavored Merlot is a great match for roasted duck or quail as well as grilled beef or lamb. It also pairs nicely with simpler fare, such as fresh herb and tomato pasta, barbecued hamburgers or pizza.

This is the finest Merlot I've found. It only gets better with age. No sharpness, only wonderful explosion of blackberry and plum. Great with steak or even a simple pizza. This is a medium bodied wine with great flavor...but you MUST LOVE MERLOT to truly appreciate it's quality.

A friend brought me a bottle of 2003 Merlot - merlot is my favorite wine variety - this wine was/is excellent - no aftertaste, no bitterness - I kept going back for more. I had no idea of its cost either, since it was a gift. I will find it in a store somewhere closeby and get more - it's wonderful!
