winemaker's notes:
"Wow, this is a good wine. It's filled with succulent blackberry and cherry flavors, and the oak is just right. It's dry, balanced and harmonious, with equisitely soft, sweet tannins..."

A serioulsy good Merlot. And under $20 ! I've had $40 Merlots that don't even come close to this William Hill 2002. Smoooth and Rich Berry and the tasty oak blends in well and is not at all overpowering. One of the best Merlots I have tried recently...and I was coming back for more, but I see it is unfortunalety "out of stock".

The character in the movie Sideways says as they are going to dinner, if anyone orders merlot I'm leaving, well he never tried this one!

"Wow, this is good wine." This quote from the winemakers notes above says it all, but I'll expound nonetheless. I tried this wine on a whim without any coaching from a salesperson, or score posted from a magazine and I was greated with the best merlot I have ever tasted and I've tried many, enjoying some, fighting the urge to spit out a few others. In my little black book of wines, this Merlot earns the highest score I've ever given to any wine. Buy and enjoy.
