winemaker's notes:

An elegant, supple and stylish wine. Vibrant aromas of black cherries, brown sugar, spices, rose petals, vanilla and typical "Pinot Noir dust". Initial spicy flavors of nutmeg and barrel toast with ripe flavors of strawberries and cherries and mineral overtones. The mouth feel is soft, round and warm in sensation with and almost sweet and juicy impression of ripe fruit. The finish is long with lingering flavors of spices, well integrated oak, ripe sweet tannins and good acidity.

Wonderful with grilled fish, lamb, beef, wild game and turkey. Serve at slightly less than room temperature.

I would buy this wine again
I loved this wine. Good nose, and a very smooth finish. Worth the money.

small taste oak tea - 2/15/2008

I would not buy this wine again
The oak dominates making this a very small taste wine. I have several wonderful bottles of Pinot Noir from the Vineyard directly but they are more expensive and fantastic. This offering simply disapoints, and you could tell the lack of eveything from the smell of the cork onward.

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
