This graceful and charming estate grown 2001 Shiraz displays vibrant hues of attractive purples and reds. This preludes the generous aromas of ripe blueberry integrated with black pepper, toasted oak, anise and a hint of dusty earth. The flavors that follow include blueberry, toasted oak and licorice and a persistent black pepper finish which expresses the underlying terroir from Wattle Creek's estate property. The wine has terrific length, texture, and structure with terrific fruit density and a graceful finish.
