At release, the wine is a bright red with a vibrant purple hue. The wine has enticing, lifted fruit aromas of red currant and cherry fruits with a touch of spice and a very subtle minty, menthol character. The wine is medium-bodied with flavors of ripe cherry and sweet red berry fruits along with delicate star anise spice characters. The palate is sublimely soft with silky tannins. The back palate displays slight warmth while subtle oak characters of cinnamon and cedar add to the overall complexity of this fruit-driven wine.
