The excellent quality of the original cuvee and careful monitoring of the secondary fermentation result in a delightfully fresh and delicate sparkling wine with a charming touch of fruitiness. Although the cuvee is typically created from wines of a single vintage, Vernay is not vintage dated in order to allow the winemaker the flexibility of including wines from other vintages for balance and consistency. Veuve du Vernay is typically Blanc de Blanc, a white wine made exclusively from white grapes, and it is a Brut (dry) sparkling wine, but it is not austere - rather it suggests the characteristics of the fine varieties from which it is made. Many discriminating consumers of champagne have embraced Veuve du Vernay as their favorite French sparkling wine.

This was a (perfect)Christmas Gift not being a everyday drinker it was placed in the wine cooler. After 8 months. Wanting something different it was opened. You will not understand the joy to my heart after one glass. Always opening many bottles of wine and just letting them go bad. This was gone in one night. I do think my spouse had one glass. But the rest was for me the best bottle of my life. I am not a WINE SNOB so please understand that this was a joy to find something that a person without knowing can enjoy a fine and cost friendly bottle. I have been looking for it all over. Thank God the label did not wash off in the dish washer. So now I have found it on line. We are green in this house and our friends make wine and use all the bottles. This one they will not get. I will save it for luck.

I ordered a case as the featured drink for a birthday party, and it almost outshined the birthday girl! The people at the party still ask for the name of the wine. The price is hard to compete with. I've given bottles away as engagement gifts to happy couples, and I plan on using it to toast the New Year and my wedding.

This is a fabulous sparkling wine. It is truly comparable
to a champagne but, because it is not produced IN Champagne, France
it cannot be called such. It is literally across the street. Try it
you will be pleasantly surprised. I was and just ordered a case!!
