Light & Fruity

Smooth & Supple

Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Big & Bold

Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.

Winemaker's Notes

Intense and deep ruby red in color, this wine offers up aromas of blackberry, chocolate and plum. In the mouth gob-smacking ripe fruit flavors of black cherry, mocha and cinnamon dominate. Ample yet well rounded tannins impart fine structure and an elegant finish.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon La Capilla Estate Single Vineyard (planted in 1990) is dark ruby-colored with an attractive aromatic array of cedar, vanilla, cinnamon, incense, and blackcurrant. Smooth-textured, concentrated, and elegant, it has plenty of savory fruit, enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years, and a plush finish. It will offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2022"
