We have added the following products to your shopping cart from a previous visit:
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Intense ruby red color. Aromas are typical, extremely complex notes of ripe fruit, with smooth, spicy hints of oak. Well balanced and full bodied with an intense and ripe tannic structure. Pleasant after taste and long finish.
"The 2007 Chianti Classico Riserva Vigneto Odoardo Beccari is a stunningly beautiful bottle of wine. Like all of the house’s reds, it is staggering in its richness and opulence, yet there is plenty of minerality, freshness and verve to create an intriguing tug of war between those elements. Violets, tar, crushed rocks, black cherries and French oak come together in this majestic, towering red. This isn’t for the timid, or for readers seeking a more varietally representative Chianti Classico. Leaving those attributes aside, this is a texturally gorgeous wine that boasts tons of fruit supported by finessed tannins. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2022."
The Wine Advocate
"A powerful CC, offering wonderful intensity and density of fruit, full-bodied, with mineral and toasty oak character. Lovely fruit and richness. A single-vineyard Chianti Classico with class. Drink now. 85 cases made."
"Ruby-purple. The initially closed nose suggests considerable depth to its dark plum, coffee and cocoa aromas. Rich, dense and sweet, with a luscious texture to the dark berry, plum and licorice flavors, nicely complemented by a strong dose of oaky vanilla. Very suave and long, this possesses much better acidity than the '07 Riserva and comes across as livelier and fresher on the palate."

Vignavecchia estate is located at about one kilometer from Radda in Chianti. The cellar, completely surrounded by the vineyards, is an old country farmhouse which was completely restored and enlarged in 1997. In this modern cellar take place the complete vinification process and bottling of the whole production; one part of the building is destined to the aging of the wine in oak barrels.

Tuscany is also home to the indigenous Italian grape variety, Sangiovese. Most of the wine coming from Tuscany is made from some clone of this...Read More About Tuscany
Sangiovese (SAHN-gee-oh-VAY-zee) Blood of Jove (literally translated) The principal grape of Chianti - in fact, the principle grape of all of Tuscany - has had its ups and downs. For a stint in the 70s and 80s, wines labeled Chianti contained cheap red wine packaged in a straw casked bottle, most popular for the candle holder it would become. But no more. Sangiovese re...Read More About Sangiovese
