winemaker's notes:
Demi-Sec is blended largely from Pinot Noir with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier as well as reserve wines. The liqueur d'expédition (carefully prepared and dosed with 45 g per litre by our oenologists) gives it a sweeter yet still very fresh harmony. Demi-Sec is at its best when served with desserts. You could even serve it in a carafe, not to decant it but to admire the colour and the delicate bubbles of this elegant wine.
Nice choice to serve when you don't know if your guests prefer sweet or dry. Was delicious after dinner with a bit of chocholate. (Didn't have any strawberries handy, and prefer drinking campagne AFTER dinner rather than before.)
The first real Champagne I have had that was worth the price. I am usually a fan of higher end California sparkling, etc., but this went the extra mile (or extra kilometer).
I love it! It's so drinkable, I usualy polish off a bottle while doing the laundry. If I didn't think I'd drink it in a week, I'd buy it by the case!
