Chile's Casablanca Valley is surrounded by coastal mountain ranges creating a diversity of unique microclimates and terroir. Its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean provides an exceptionally long growing season for intensity of fruit flavours.
Nice bite on the nose gives the impression that a ride may insue. Strong cabernet-ish color is also exciting. Somehow this lacks the subtlety of a pinot in my view. It's all opinion of course but this seems to me to have the bite of a cab without the subtle fruits of a well made pinot. I reserve the right to be totally wrong.
