The 2005 Heytesbury is a beautiful, deep dark plum colour. The aroma is fragrant, with lifted blackcurrant and fresh subtle peppermint leaf with blueberries, violets, cocunut, cumin seeds and thyme which meld into the background with rich oak perfumes.
"Tightly focused and structured; particularly fine but persistent tannins
add much to the texture; blackcurrant and touches of French oak
complete the picture of a high quality wine. Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz.

"Complex notes of earth, iodine and forest floor open this stunning wine
from Western Australia. The palate is pure cassis, supported by refreshing
acidity that lifts the lead pencil notes on the long, slightly warm finish.
Soft tannins make it suitable for drinking now although a few years bottle
age will only heighten its complexity.
