Vall Llach Idus 2003

Idus is the result of a close collaboration with local viticulturalists and owners of "trossos," or small vineyard blocks, who cultivate old-vine Cariñenas and Garnachas. These old-vine vineyards, which are located in the Porrera and Torroja municipalities, are the key to the character of this wine.

"Full red-ruby. Brooding aromas of blackberry, licorice and minerals. Big, sweet, rich and expansive, with superripe, smoky flavors. A large-scaled wine that finishes with substantial sweet tannins. Consistent with the character of the 2003 vintage, this is much more accessible and easygoing today than the 2002 version."
