winemaker's notes:
A deep purple-red color, Valentin Bianchi's Malbec boasts a nose filled with ripe plums, cherries, hints of vanilla and coffee. The flavors mimic the aromas, with a massive, yet soft and silky, mouthfeel, and a lush, long finish. It is the perfect expression of the highly-praised Malbec grape.
This wine is ideal to serve with a large variety of foods, especially with meat and hard cheeses.

critical acclaim:
"The 2010 Valentin Bianchi Malbec exhibits a deeper color and more depth and concentration than the Elsa cuvee. Notions of cedar, spice box, lavender, damp earth, and cherry cola inform the nose of this firm, savory, nicely proportioned Malbec that offers very good value. Drink it over the next 3-4 years. "

The Wine Advocate
"Deep red-ruby. Aromas of crushed blackberry, black cherry and violet. Sweet and supple on entry, then nicely firm and lively in the middle, with well-integrated acidity and a floral element lifting the black fruit flavors. Finishes firmly tannic and long but a bit youthfully imploded: I'd give this a year or two in bottle to expand."

International Wine Cellar
"A pure version, offering a solid mix of blackberry and black cherry pulp notes, as light tannins frame the minerally finish."

Wine Spectator
"Concentrated, dark and distinct, the bouquet expresses notes of cumin and flower. It's round, grabby and a bit gummy feeling, with oaky, dark flavors of blackberry, resin and spices. The finish tastes mildly woody, with espresso accents."
