We have added the following products to your shopping cart from a previous visit:
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
The color is black with magenta hues.
On the nose is a high impact bouquet of blue to
black fruits such as, blueberry,
blackberry and Satsuma plum. The
aromas are complex and laden with
vanilla, charcuterie, mocha and
subtle spices. The palate is concentrated and intense with a
lingering texture across the mid and
late palate. A firm structure with tight
but fine dry tannins married with
densely intertwined fruit and juicy
mid-palate fruit weight.
"Dense inky purple hue. Pretty scents of spice, maple and briary-tinged berry. Velvety black cherry fruit coats the palate with fine-combed tannins and superb backing acidity. Sweet cherry and berry impressions linger in the focused finish. "
The Wine News
" Somewhat precariously balanced at 15.7% alcohol, this may not turn out to be the most long-lived Shiraz, but it delicious for current consumption. The tannins are soft and creamy in texture, while the blueberry and blackberry fruit is intensely concentrated, tinged with nuances of vanilla, menthol and chocolate."
"Saturated ruby. Intensely floral, high-pitched aromas of black raspberry, mulberry, violet and rose, lifted by a pungent peppery quality. Spicy dark berry flavors gain flesh and sweetness with air, picking up a smoky mineral quality and a note of candied violet. Finishes juicy and very long, with berry skin and floral notes."

"My favorite of the Garden Series is the 2007 Shiraz Lily's Garden from McLaren Vale. Purple-colored, it has an enticing perfume of balsam wood, lavender, incense, pepper, bacon, and blueberry. With excellent grip and balance, this smooth-textured, savory Shiraz will improve over the next 2-3 years and drink well through 2020."

McLaren Vale is home to the oldest Australian vineyard, with grapes planted in 1838. It's a coastal area, the Indian Ocean bordering the west, which leads to a cooling factor that prevents the grapes from getting too hot. In all, the climate is a perfect one for the vines.
In McLaren Vale, there are vines as far as the eye can see. As in other parts of...Read More About McLaren Vale
