winemaker's notes:
Inky and dense with cardamon, cinnamon and blackcherry aromas and flavors.
Vineyard:
The grapes are sourced from the Vistalba Vineyard in the Tupungato region, high in the Andes Mountains,
set at an elevation of about 3,000 feet above sea level. The climate consists of bright sunny days,
cool nights and a mild harvest which allow for gradual ripening and optimum level of maturity. Hand
tended and hand harvested, the Rutini family’s high altitude vineyards provide the foundation for Trumpeter.
