Winemaker's Notes

The Trimbachs settled in Alsace and founded the family wine business in 1626. At the end of the 19th century, their renown spread across Europe when Frédéric Emile Trimbach produced vintage after vintage of acclaimed Rieslings and Gewürztraminers. Today, the Trimbach family continues the centuries-old dedication to wines with beautifully pure fruit, precise, fine flavors and astonishing longevity. Their Pinot Blanc is fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, with no malolactic fermentation.

The Trimbach Pinot Blanc has a beautiful fruitiness; it is elegant and easy to understand. Ideal when poured by the glass, it is fresh and clean, medium-bodied with good fruit acidity, with a smooth finish. Enjoy with light meals such as salads, poultry, roast pork, and seafood.

He transferred the Maison Trimbach business to Hunawihr, where he served as mayor for many years. Jean-Frederic and his son, Frederic-Emile...

But true Pinot Blanc lacks most Chardonnay characteristics. The grape is most at home in Alsace, where it is used both in blends as well as a sole varietal. It's also found in Italy...
