Winemaker's Notes

Nero d'Avola is the signature variety of Sicily, the land of sea, sun, art and good food. It is deep red in color, with very intense aromas of red and black berry fruit, spice,s aromatic herbs and balsam. Outstanding body, fresh and soft-textured.

Brought this wine to a gathering for dinner. It was a hit! A bit fruit forward but smooth with a great nose. If you are looking to an alternative to Chianti this is it.A bit more body tho!

I did drink this in its entirety over time but it was by no means my favorite red. had almost a vinegar overtone to my palate--not sure if that is what is referred to as tanins or? Obviously, I am no expert on the matter
