The Columbia Valley is the heart and soul of Washington's wine industry. A parched and windswept desert, it covers nearly half of the state and includes such famed regions as Walla Walla Valley, Horse Heaven Hills and Wahluke Slope. Our 2008 Columbia Valley Cabernet features grapes from a handful of the finest vineyards in each of these areas. A dark, muscular wine it delivers black cherries, vanilla, blackberries, tobacco and cocoa.
"Fresh and open-textured, with some crisp tannins adding an edge to the generous cherry and plum fruit, persisting nicely on the finish."
"A hard, tart, tightly wound Cabernet, with juicy berry flavors at the heart of the wine. This needs decanting and/or another couple of years in the bottle, but it’s well made and shows some real muscle for a Cabernet at this price."
"Three Rivers' 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon gives up an attractive nose of spicy red fruits and floral aromas. Medium-bodied, savory, and well-balanced, this solid value will pair well with pizza and burgers..."
