winemaker's notes:
The Crossings 2001 Sauvignon Blanc is a concentrated and intensely aromatic wine with lifted stonefruit notes leading in to a well textured palate. It is distinguished by its strong mineral and white currant flavors, underpinned by a vein of typically zesty Marlborough acidity.

What a great wine--not too dry as many of the New Zealand Sauvignons tend to be, yet it has the zesty fresh fruit flavors and the depth of taste I have not found in other whites from "down under". The flavour profile goes with so many foods, even with the Frankfurters my company has been making for 110 years. It is exciting to experiance wines from places other than Europe and Napa Valley-especially when they are better.
