winemaker's notes:

There is nothing better than an exceptional bottle of fine wine - especially one that you've created yourself!

The Blending Kit was designed to allow you, a wine novice or enthusiast, to blend your own wine and even customize your label! You will receive six half bottles (375ml) of award-winning wine, beakers and instructions on how to create your blend. Once complete, fax in "your recipe" (or percentages of each wine) and you can order as little as 6 bottles at $40/each. It's a one of a kind experience that is fun to share with friends and makes a perfect gift or addition to your wine collection.

One kit is recommended for up to 4 people.

Winemaker's Notes:

Delaney Family Cabernet Sauvignon
This mouthwatering Cabernet Sauvignon oozes with blueberries, blackberries and currants. The oak barrels provide a hint of cedar in this fruit-forward, easy to drink wine. Grown at only 150 feet elevation near Healdsburg (Sonoma County), its soft, chewy fruit tantalizes any palate.

Red Dog Cabernet Sauvignon
Located on Prichard Hill, this small two acre vineyard in Napa Valley is home to an outstanding Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine's cherry, red currant, vanilla and mint flavors will remind you of why you love wine. Grown at 1600 feet, we believe you'll find this Cabernet to be delicious, well balanced, with a long finish.

Laurent Merlot
Resting on two acres on the valley floor in Sonoma, the Laurent Merlot grapes have produced five-time gold medal winning wines in previous years. It exudes a voluptuous, round mouth feel accented by bright, red fruit flavors (such as cherry and pomegranate).

Ridgeline Ranch Cabernet Franc
Perched above the fog at 1800 feet elevation, this Cab Franc is robust and stands on its own two feet! Bright, red cherries and plums delight the palate and the grapes produced soft tannins. This Cab Franc is a wonderful blending wine (although many drink it on its own) and will develop for years to come.

Trio B Malbec
This lush and sumptuous Malbec comes from a distinguished Napa Valley floor vineyard near Yountville. The nose portrays strawberry preserves and saddle leather. Your palate will recognize fleshy, light tannins and sweet fruit flavors. Its succulent fruit makes this wine very approachable and a nice contrast to other hillside-based Malbecs.

Bellisimo Petit Verdot
Generally used in small quantities as a blending wine, this powerfully dominant and flavorful variety will add structure and longevity to any wine. Big, savory tannins are complemented by notes of blackberries, cranberries and pomegranates. The vibrant red fruit flavors in this Petit Verdot can perfect and add complexity to any blend!

A Customer - San Francisco, CA
I've always wanted to do this -- really fun to see how small amounts of different red varietals influences the taste. Instructions were helpful -- make a core out of these grapes and then fine tune with these others. We had four of us and made two different blends and had wine left over for additional experimentation. I'm giving this as a gift and buying a couple more for a party.

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
Green wine
Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
Collectible wine
Collectible
These wines will improve from additional bottle age, when properly stored, and may show the greatest potential to increase in value.
Great Wine Gifts
Great Wine Gifts
These selected wines make impressionable gifts for wine enthusiasts and oenophiles alike.
Boutique Wines
Boutique Wines
These wines are made in limited quantities and are typically produced from single vineyard sources or made by small, artisanal wineries. While the winery may produce larger quantities, we limit wines with this designation to a 1,000 case production.
