The Terra d'Oro 2010 Deaver Zinfandel has a deep garnet color with lifted aromas of clove, allspice and cracked white pepper. The palate is focused with crisp and juicy layers of ripe blackberry, plum and cinnamon and a lingering baked cobbler flavor on the finish. The briary tannins and baked spice components add complexity to this bold wine and support a great balance of power and restraint.

For a zesty pairing, serve this wine with a roasted guinea hen or a juicy ribeye steak.

This actually tasted a little lighter than other zinfandels, flavors of raspberry and cracked white pepper complemented each other though.
