The wine itself has a deep ruby color, and a nose that is somewhat unusual for a Cabernet, with aromas of ripe berry, leather, rosemary and chive (chive on eh?), with a bit of musty, earthiness as well. The taste is quite fruity upfront, with ripe plum, black currant and a sweet, jamminess that transitions to some lovely spice notes midpalate. The tannins are soft, as is the finish, which seems a little lackluster, but pleasant. Big & Bold
Clean average solid Bold red Cab wine, nothing much more. Very non-dimensional; dark fruits both on nose and palette. Bold all the way through. Again an average yet enjoyable wine for everyday hearty meals. A loose 87 points.
Earthy & Spicy
Beef > Stew
Disappointing, slightly better after decanting. Similar to a famous $2-3 wine. I was hoping it was more like VEO from Chile, but no. Fine to add directly to our crock pot meal but not into a glass. Beef stew, add it to the stew, don't drink it...
