Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Light straw yellow in color with a fruity bouquet, which reminds of ripe honeydew melons. On the palate, it is soft and full with a well balanced long finish

Critical Acclaim

"There's a nice minerally edge to this lively Pinot Grigio, along with lemon zest, white peach, apple blossom and graham cracker notes. This shows balance, and a lingering, aromatic finish. Drink now through 2013. 10,000 cases made."

Learn About Terlano Map ItMap It

In Terlano, the wine-making tradition dates back more than 2000 years. Mild microclimatic conditions give the wines certain unique characteristics, thus adding a special flavor to them.

Terlano’s unique position at the foot of Mount Tschöggel is a key to the development of the vineyards. The southfacing slopes are ideal for grape growing. The porphyry rocks accumulate warmth and the porous soil allows the water to drain, keeping the soil dry around the roots of the wines.
