Tenuta di Arceno PrimaVoce 2006
Red Wine
from Tuscany, Italy
winemaker's notes:
PrimaVoce, a term for the leading voice in
an opera company, is an "aria" of both
power and beauty. Produced from low
yielding, meticulously farmed vineyards in
the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, the
wine is supple, rich and complex, offering
a multi-layered sensory experience. From
its opening note to its grand finale,
PrimaVoce is truly a symphony in the glass!
The 2006 PrimaVoce is dominated by rose
petals, with hints of clove and spices on
the nose. On the palate, there is a jammy
fruit explosion of sweet plums with a
tangy pomegranate and cranberry
undertone. Big, velvety tannins fill the
mouth and lead to a long finish filled with chocolate, tobacco and lingering hints
of nutmeg and cinnamon. Pair with Olives, Panzanella, Aged Pecorino, and
Salumi.
Blend: 65% Merlot, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Sangiovese, 5% Cabernet France, 2% Syrah.
