Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2007 Tenuta degli Dei is gorgeous in this vintage. Elements of softness and minerality create an attractive tension, while the fruit shows terrific focus. This is a relatively soft, mid-weight Tuscan 2007, but it is much improved over the 2006 version. It will be interesting to see what develops here over the coming years. Sweet scents of French oak linger on the floral, refined finish. Tenuta Degli Dei is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Alicante aged in French oak. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017.

The bond between Tommaso Cavalli and his land has its origins in a true passion which has taken shape in the form of the state owned by the family since the early seventies, Tenuta degli Dei, to which Tommaso and his father Roberto have devoted thirty years of intensive work. The estate is located in the village of San Leolino, near Panzano in Chianti. The vineyards have been planted in the Conca d'Oro valley, which, thanks to its soil and exposure to sunlight, is perfectly suitable for wine-growing.
Tenuta degli Dei embodies the Cavalli family's lifely commitment to farming, wine-making and horse-breeding, the symbols of Tuscany in the world.
Legendary in Italy for its Renaissance art and striking landscape, Tuscany is also home to many of the country’s best red wines. Sangiovese reigns supreme here, as either the single varietal, or a dominant player, in almost all of Tuscany’s best.
A remarkable Chianti, named for its region of origin, will have a bright acidity, supple tannins and plenty of cherry fruit character. From the hills and valleys surrounding the medieval village of Montalcino, come the distinguished and age-worthy wines based on Brunello (Sangiovese). Earning global acclaim since the 1970s, the Tuscan Blends are composed solely of international grape varieties or a mix of international and Sangiovese. The wine called Vine Nobile di Montepulciano, composed of Prognolo Gentile (Sangiovese) and is recognized both for finesse and power.
