The Dentelles terroir has given of its best in this vintage. Aromatic freshness is mixed with beautifully concentrated dark fruit, cassis and spices. The palate is long and persistent with fine, though evident tannins. Aging will round off this Gigondas — ideal for laying down for a few years.
Blend: 80% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 5% Mourvedre
"This has stunning black tea, warm ganache and roasted alder aromas giving way to a very lush yet defined core of braised fig, blackberry cobbler and pastis-soaked plum fruit. The long, dark finish is muscular, but polished and caressing. Best from 2014 through 2022."

"Opaque ruby. Pungent aromas of red berry preserves, cherry, smoky herbs and potpourri, with touches of vanilla and cola. Pliant raspberry and candied cherry flavors pick up spiciness in the mid-palate, along with a hint of minerals. Bright and lively on the persistent finish, which is given shape by velvety tannins."

"The outstanding 2010 Gigondas Vieilles Vignes exhibits abundant notes of flowers, crushed rocks, black raspberries and blueberries as well as lots of glycerin and body. This spicy, well-delineated beauty can be drunk over the next 10-15 years."
