Winemaker's Notes

70% Cabernet Sauvignon. 30% Merlot

15 months in two and three year old oak barriques

This wine is deep black cherry in color with an alluring assortment of uplifted black cherries, dark berry fruits and traces of cut rosemary on the nose. You will also notice a hint of scorched almonds, ground coffee, tobacco leaves and licorice allsorts. On the palate it is a well-structured medium body wine with layers of plump plum and blackberry fruits. A mix of savoury spices, subtle herbs and firm, dusty tannins are balanced by good natural acidity. A perfect accompaniment to a veal ragout. Drink tonight or age for another 5-8 years.
