Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This rare Pinot Noir is named in honor of the patriarch of the family Robert Flook Talbott Sr. (RFT).  Hand picked grapes and estate grown in Carmel Valley CA at our small 14 acre Diamond T Vineyard with only 250 cases produced.  Aged 12 months in 100% new French Oak, this rich and opulent Pinot reveals concentrated layers of lush black cherry, plum, cocoa, and exotic spice.
A stunning Pinot Noir that sets the bar high.

Critical Acclaim

"Bright ruby. Exotic, oak-spiced aromas of black raspberry, cola and potpourri, with a smoky overtone. Lush, pliant red and dark berry compote flavors provide impressive palate coverage and pick up exotic floral pastille and spicecake character with air. A big, plush rendition of pinot, finishing with impressive breadth and sweet persistence."
