Limarí's Limestone soil really makes a difference in this Sauvignon Blanc bottling. Beyond the wine's bright melon and citrus driven nose, there is an impressive core of minerality that one would not expect in a Chilean white - Stylistically the wine reminds us very much of a top notch Sancerre bottling.
This Sauvignon Blanc with its pale color and greenish look has a fruity nose, slightly citric, of great elegance and reminiscent of fresh herbs. To the mouth there are subtle hints of minerals that mix with an aroma of ripe grapefruit. It is very persistent and fresh, due to its well-kept acidity.
"The marine influence on Limari shows clearly in the sauvignon, advancing mineral scents more than fruitiness. On the palate, however, there's a surprising ripeness that battles the acidity, a class that slowly evolves into a graciously fruity balance. Decant this for corvina ceviche. "
