Winemaker's Notes

This Chardonnay is a complex and intense wine with subtle mineral tones elegantly complemented with a touch of citrus, pineapple and honey. Time in French oak barrels add well-integrated toasty notes together with an appealing and refreshing acidity. Very long and pleasant finish.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2012 Chardonnay Reserva Especial, from the Tabali vineyards, which has an alluvial, calcareous soil, is barrel-fermented without malolactic. It has a smoky, flinty nose akin to a young Chablis, with notes of flowers and citric fruit. The palate is fresh and vertical, which makes you salivate. It has great acidity, elegance and balance. A superb Chardonnay at a great price."
