Grown on vineyards reaching 1,800-2,400 feet above sea level, this Merlot represents the layered richness of Stonestreet's Alexander Mountain Estate. Contributing to the wine are the southeast-oriented vineyards which add intense cassis and chocolate flavors, the western vineyards which convey a mineral core and the sun-intense plateau vineyards which express bright fruit flavors and lush tannins.
