A richer palate in 2010, due to a slightly later pick date and the savory depth added by the barrel ferment. Shows an initial exuberant nose of white peach, freshly cut grass and citrus, with spicy, smoky flint notes beneath. The palate opens with an engaging freshness yet also shows a genrous mouthfeel beneath. Long, deep and quite succulent, the characters of pie baked stone fruit and meyer lemon continue though to the clean finish.
Blend: 72% Semillon, 28% Sauvignon Blanc
"Light yellow. Dried pear, melon and herbs on the fragrant nose. Fleshy and smooth on entry, offering lush orchard fruit flavors and a hint of bitter lemon pith. Finishes with good cut, length and a lingering note of poached pear."
