winemaker's notes:
Number 2 on the Wine.com 100 of 2007!
The color is a brilliant light straw with vibrant green hues. The bouquet possesses nectarine, peach and savory oak characters. The palate is clean and dry with tropical fruit flavors and a crisp zesty finish.
"Former Aussie rules footballer-turned-winemaker Rob (Sticks) Dolan, brought the wheel full circle when he (and others) bought, and renamed Sticks, the Yarra Ridge winery where he was once the winemaker. This is a great example of unpretentious Yarra Valley chardonnay style, fruit-driven with nectarine, honeydew and citrus, line and length its foundation." -James Halliday

I would buy this wine again
Picked up a bottle in Australia after reading the reviews and they were dead on. This is one oustanding Chardonnay. The price for this wine was higher in Australia so all the better here. I couldn't recommend it enough.

I would not buy this wine again
The flavor seems well balanced but the body is missing from this wine. It tastes thin, not a very technical term but it's the best way to describe it. The screw cap is convienant, more wines should be using them.

I don't normally drink white wine as I find it rather enemic. However this wine is the best white wine I have ever had. The bouquet is delicate, yet full. It is light and crisp and has no harsh after taste. I recommended this wine to all my friends and don't believe the screw top is a negative selling point. The price is very reasonable for the wine you are getting.
A Customer - Seattle
This is a lovely very approachable Chardonnay. It has almost none of the uber oakiness common to chards in this price range. It's very light on the palate, feeling more like a pinot gris than anything else. But it's complicated too in its blend of fresh peach, apple, and grassy flavors. This is a wine for drinking now but it will keep nicely and might even improve with 4 or 5 more years in the bottle.

Delightful! Best Chardonnay I've had for under $20 in quite a while.

Great Chard for the money.... I highly recommend it!

What a pleasant surprise. No wine comes without some hype & promise of good things, but this one delivers.
Light and refreshing. A terrific value.
A Customer - Denver, CO
I must agree with the masses, this is a stunning Chardonnay for the price. Could easily sell for twice the price.
