The 1997 Sierra Foothill Cabernet Sauvignon has wonderful complex aromas of black cherry, vanilla and wild berry. The 1997 vintage was ideal in the Sierra Foothill region, with fruit from our estate vineyard and several other Sierra Foothill vineyards. This wine is already showing great potential for aging. This wine was aged in small American and French oak barrels for 14 months, before blending and bottling in July 1999. This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has very soft tannins and a good acid balance making it an ideal companion for hearty meals.
