There's one word to describe California's 2007 vintage- spectacular! Winter rainfall was lower-than-average, but moderate temperatures through the growing season kept the vines happy and stress-free. These conditions also fostered small, concentrated grapes that gave intense flavors to our Sauvignon Blanc. The early spring budbreak led to an early onset to harvest; we began picking this early-ripening variety in August. Grape quality was high, with ripe, lush flavors balanced with lively acidity.
An absolutely first-class Sauvignon Blanc, and at this price, a fantastic value. Bone dry and crisp in mouthwatering acidity, the flavors range from Meyer lemons, limes, grapefruits and green apples to gooseberries, figs and minerals. Sommeliers, buy this by the case. — Wine Enthusiast 02/09
