Stags' Leap Winery Viognier 2002
from Napa Valley, California
A complex and concentrated style, with creamy oak draped over a core of spice, Asian pear, nectarine, peach and tangerine, gaining momentum and depth on a long, luxurious finish. Drink now through 2006. 2,000 cases made. (JL)

A Customer - Redding, California
My first exposure to this wine was at a tasting at the winery, and that tasting made such an impression that it is now a fixture in my cellar. I actually prefer it to Chardonnay. Fruity, but not overly sweet and not as dry as a Fume or Sauvignon Blanc. A great afternoon "by the pool" wine before the barbeque, or anytime you would serve a nice white wine!
