This is a classic wine complete with the Stags’ Leap signature…the briary note in both the aromas and the flavors.” In the mouth, this wine is full and elegant. Supple and yet firm tannin extractions are the result of fermenting the wine in small lots and hand-punching the caps during extended maceration. The nose is pretty with prominent red fruit aromas threaded with sweet vanilla, cedar and the distinctive Stags' Leap briar aroma. Ripe cherry, currant and raspberry flavors intermingle with vanilla and cinnamon-clove spiciness. Bravo!
