St. Supery Virtu White Meritage 2002
Bordeaux White Blends
from Napa Valley, California
winemaker's notes:
Blossoms and melon show up quickly
in the aroma and then are soon married with barrel scents of toast and vanilla to create an intoxicating fragrance. On the palate are flavors of pear and peach from the Sauvignon Blanc while crème and lemon meringue come from the Sémillon. With the blend of these two classic varietals this wine will age beautifully for years to come, becoming even more complex.

I have got to say, that I am not a wine drinker. About 2 months ago I went on a cruise to the Bahamas. I was with 2 mutual friends whom ordered this wine with dinner. I decided to try it being that I had a bad experience with wine before (made me sick). Now, 2 months later, I have been in a desperate search to find this wine, I have been craving it ever since I returned to Chicago. I have entered many websites trying to find this wine, be it that the only thing I remember was the name on the cork "quaddy" and the picture of the lady on the bottle. I finally found it, I am estatic to order a couple of these bottles just to sit at home and unwind. It is absolutely the best drink I have ever had.

I ordered this wine by the glass at a ruth chris steakhouse in D.C. thinking it was a red. I was shocked when it showed up and it was white. I was glad for the confusion because this is one of the better whites that I have had and it complimented my steak very nice.

I had this at Cucina, an italian restaurant in the The American Club in Kohler, WI. We ordered with appetizers and loved it so much had it through dinner. Excellent choice, lovely aroma, great flavors pop to your delight!
