This wine is made by Tom Mackey at St. Francis. He has won many awards for his Merlot. Tom has been at St. Francis since 1983, this is very important when choosing a when because you know the quality will be consistent every vintage. I like this wine because it is a real Merlot, full bodied, deep berry flavors with the smooth finish we all look for in Merlot. Not thin and light like a lot of Merlots. Great with food, especially BBQ but also nice when you just want to have a glass of wine when you get home from work.
