The driving flavor in this vintage is the density of black fruits. This wine is both rich and round, dense and juicy. The sweetness from the oak, along with the heavy toast on some of the barrels, offers a good balance to the brightness of the fruit. Cabernet Sauvignon is the flagship wine at St. Clement and this vintage confirms our convictions. While the softer tannins allow this vintage to be consumed today, additional aging of up to 10 years is certainly possible.
