winemaker's notes:

Lively and refreshing, with intense gooseberry, grapefruit and kiwi fruit on the nose and palate. Explodes with flavor - the essence of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.

Color: Pale straw / green hints Bouquet: Ripe tropical fruit especially passion fruit and melon. An extra hint of riverstone shows through Palate: Ripe flavours continue through. A subtle creamy note contributes richness and interest. The taught acid structure provides keen focus to the palate and balances the ripe tropical fruit flavours. The finish is powerful and reminiscent of passion fruit and melon.

At Spy Valley, emphasis on viticultural excellence creates wines that capture the essence of the environment and are classically Marlborough. Owning all our vineyards ensures total control of the winemaking process, true single vineyard estate production. Youthful, exuberant wines bursting with fruit flavour and aroma are crafted using modern winemaking techniques by our winemaker Ant Mackenzie, one of New Zealand's most experienced and a true expert at capturing the essence of the season.

My new favorite Sauvignon Blanc. Try with grilled shrimp or halibut with lemon - this is the perfect seafood or light pasta wine.
A Customer - San Diego, CA
We were delighted w/this excellent example of SauvBlanc and rate it a 3.98 on a 4.0 Scale. We ordered it again fm Wine.com as we consider it an excellent value as well as reminding us of some of the wonderful wine we had while visiting the Loire!
A Customer - Charlottesville, VA
This is my favorite sauvignon blanc, very robust. Give it a try!

Kosher wine
Kosher
A Kosher wine begins like every other - as grapes on a vine. Once they reach the winery for crushing, the wine is under strict rabbinal supervision.
Screw Cap wine
Screw Cap
Many studies report and winemakers agree that screw caps protect wine better and preserve its flavor more effectively than cork. More importantly, screw caps eliminate cork taint caused by TCA, a compound which develops in a small percentage of corks and ruins the taste of wine.
Green wine
Green Wines
Wines that use sustainable, organic and/or biodynamic practices in the vineyard and/or winemaking process. We rely on a number of U.S. and International certifications to qualify wines "green."
Collectible wine
Collectible
These wines will improve from additional bottle age, when properly stored, and may show the greatest potential to increase in value.
Great Wine Gifts
Great Wine Gifts
These selected wines make impressionable gifts for wine enthusiasts and oenophiles alike.
Boutique Wines
Boutique Wines
These wines are made in limited quantities and are typically produced from single vineyard sources or made by small, artisanal wineries. While the winery may produce larger quantities, we limit wines with this designation to a 1,000 case production.
