Our Four O'clock Chardonnay shows a nose of stone fruit, including nectarine and white peach, citrus, lime and pink grapefruit. The flavors from the nose follow right through to the palate. The Spring Seed Chardonnay has a subtly textured mid palate and a wonderful crisp length.
*Specific labels cannot be requested.
"Light, bright gold. Racy aromas of lime, green apple, dusty minerals and green tea. Starts off taut and linear, but aeration brings up juicy tangerine and pear qualities. This firm, juicy, refreshing no-malo chardonnay develops depth and power in the glass. Finishes with very good clarity and persistent citrus and mineral character."

McLaren Vale is home to the oldest Australian vineyard, with grapes planted in 1838. It's a coastal area, the Indian Ocean bordering the west, which leads to a cooling factor that prevents the grapes from getting too hot. In all, the climate is a perfect one for the vines.
