With the 2009 vintage, California's Lodi and Central Valley regions experienced warm days that were cooled down in the evenings from the fog off of the Sacramento Delta. These warm temperatures allowed for the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to become rich in structure and obtain dark fruit characteristics.
