Souverain Sonoma County Chardonnay 2003
Chardonnay
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
"The 2003 Sonoma County Chardonnay offers aromas of pear and citrus with a hint of smoke. Flavors of white peach from the AlexanderValley, pear from the RussianRiverValley and citrus from the Carneros region blend harmoniously and transition to flavors of crème brûlée and cinnamon spice on the mid palate. The long, complex finish offers layers of honeycomb and spice as the lingering flavors of pear stay to the end.

I don't drink white often. Chardonnay when I do. This Chardonnay only. Very clean, not sweet or dry...smooth and velvety. A clean and crisp finish.
Awesome value.

One of the best chards under $20 I have ever tasted. Introduced by a friend and now it is a stable of my cellar. Highly recommended. Great blend of fruits and oak, great finish.
