Sine Qua Non Mr K The Nobleman (Chardonnay) (375ML half-bottle) 2001
Dessert from Central Coast, California
Alcohol By Volume: 11.7%
Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Made from Chardonnay.
"While richer, sweeter, and more unctuous than the Iceman, 2001 Mr. K The Nobleman (Chardonnay), a Trockenbeerenauslese look-alike, possesses nervy, vibrant acidity that is hard to imagine in a wine of this mass and richness. The residual sugar is 255 grams per liter, with an amazing 11.1 grams per liter of acidity, and 11.7% finished alcohol."
