Simi Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1999
Cabernet Sauvignon
from Sonoma County, California
winemaker's notes:
Deep garnet with purple highlights. The aroma is of ripe black fruit/berries and cherries. Ripe, juicy fruits integrated with soft, balanced tannins, vanilla, cedar and spice. Supple and plush with a long finish.
For our Reserve Cabernet, we blend the finest lots from our diverse Alexander Valley vineyards to create a wine that is a balance of elegance, power, depth and complexity. The ideal growing season during 1997 allowed the grapes to ripen and develop fully, ensuring soft and integrated tannins and forward, rich fruit. Bright, blueberry, blackberry and deep cherry flavors combine with spice and vanilla. The finish is long, rich and supple. Excellent aging potential.
