The 2004 vintage is the fifth release of this vineyard-designated Cabernet Sauvignon from the Simi winery's Landslide Vineyard in southern Alexander Valley, which was first planted in 1985. The Landslide Vineyard-170 acres divided by forces of nature into three distinct sections and elevations-produces wines that reflect the extraordinary diversity of the vineyard and its dramatic geologic history.
Appearance: Deep ruby, with red highlights
Aroma: Concentrated black cherry, plum, and blueberry aromas are spiced with cedar, clove and vanilla.
Flavor: Blackberry and cherry flavors are accented with cocoa and spice, giving layers and depth to the wine. Concentrated on the palate with ripe tannins that give full and lasting intensity.
Big/Bold: Full bodied excellent fruit.. nice tannins.
