Winemaker's Notes

The 2004 vintage is the fifth release of this vineyard-designated Cabernet Sauvignon from the Simi winery's Landslide Vineyard in southern Alexander Valley, which was first planted in 1985. The Landslide Vineyard-170 acres divided by forces of nature into three distinct sections and elevations-produces wines that reflect the extraordinary diversity of the vineyard and its dramatic geologic history.

Appearance: Deep ruby, with red highlights Aroma: Concentrated black cherry, plum, and blueberry aromas are spiced with cedar, clove and vanilla. Flavor: Blackberry and cherry flavors are accented with cocoa and spice, giving layers and depth to the wine. Concentrated on the palate with ripe tannins that give full and lasting intensity.
