I tasted this Vintage of the Alexander Valley offering in December of 2009. Not nearly as fruit forward as the 2004 with big boozy flavor upfront with only 30 min of decanting but evened out after about 2hrs. I recommend laying this one down another 2 yrs minimum to allow it to balance the acid, alcohol and tannins then it should drink very well. Otherwise typical silver oak flavors or dark fruit, leather, graphite and young oak. Ive always preferred the Alexander to the Napa because of the more subtle flavor profile but this one smacks you around a little at first...drink in 2011 and decant for at least an hour and I bet it will have balanced very nicely.
