Healthy rains in winter and spring set up the vines perfectly and allowed for stress free conditions
from veraison to harvesting. On the nose, the 2009 shiraz shows earthy gravel, spicy licorice
and dense dark mulberries, while the sweet upfront berry fruit presented on tasting gives way to
complex cedar, earth and spice notes, wrapping up with ample structure and grip. The vibrant,
juicy fruit runs the length of the palate and lingers with a "have another glass" finish.
"Opaque ruby. Expressive aromas of red berries, black pepper and spices. Sweet, concentrated and creamy in texture, with liqueur-like flavors of raspberry, blackberry and fruitcake. Open-knit and very easy to drink, finishing with soft tannins, a faint mocha quality and a kiss of licorice.

"Fresh and distinctive for its wild berry and herb flavors. Not typical of Shiraz, but appealing. Drink now."
