This is classis Oregon Pinot made from heirloom Pinot noir clones of Pommard and Wädenswil. Pommard brings structure to the wine and Wädenswil adds high tones and floral notes. A beautiful bouquet of rose petal and violets leads to a richly textured palate of bright red fruit dominated by raspberry and a hint of blueberry. Fine-grained tannins frame the wine.
"Bright ruby-red. Black raspberry, cherry-cola, star anise and violet on the perfumed nose. Pliant, sappy dark fruit flavors are lifted by juicy acidity and gain spiciness with air. Shows very good energy and focus on the finish, which leaves spicecake and dark berry skin notes behind."
International Wine Cellar
"Velvety, round and beautifully focused on a medium-weight frame. The refined tannins support dark berry, licorice and a hint of pepper in the flavor profile. Narrows a bit on the finish."
